How we verify listings
GLP-1 Care Map is an independent directory of GLP-1 and medical weight-management providers in the United States. It is not operated by, or paid by, any clinic, pharmacy or drug manufacturer to rank them.
The evidence rule
Software reads each clinic’s website, but it is not allowed to decide that a clinic “looks like” a GLP-1 clinic. For every service it reports, it must copy the exact sentence from the page. We then check that the sentence really appears in the page we fetched. If it doesn’t, the claim is dropped. What you see on a clinic page is what survived that check, with the quote, the link and the date.
Because we only count what clinics publish, absence from a list means nothing about a clinic. Many primary-care practices prescribe GLP-1 medications without saying so on their website.
Where the data comes from
Clinic websites
Services (GLP-1 medications, semaglutide, tirzepatide, weight management, telehealth, accepting new patients), practice type, booking links and named clinicians.
A claim is kept only if the clinic states it in its own words. We store the sentence, the page URL and the date checked, and discard any claim whose quote cannot be found word-for-word in the page we read.
NPPES registry (CMS) ↗
Provider identity: NPI, name, taxonomy, practice address and phone. We use the monthly national file to discover practices, including primary-care, obesity-medicine and endocrinology practices and medical spas.
CMS states that holding an NPI does not establish that a provider is licensed or credentialed. We therefore say “NPI record verified” and never “licensed”. An NPI is never evidence that a practice offers any service.

Online prescribers' own websites
Which states each online GLP-1 prescriber serves, what it offers, and its advertised starting price.
A company appears for a state only when its own site says it serves that state; we never assume national coverage. Coverage and price quotes are re-checked monthly, and a price not re-checked within 45 days is hidden.
Patient-reported prices and mentions of specific clinics and online providers.
Shown as unverified self-reports with a short quote and a link to the comment, never as reviews or ratings. When an author deletes a comment, we remove the quote.

Which kinds of practice confirm GLP-1 care
The directory began with one practice model, direct primary care. It now also discovers practices from the national NPPES file, so this table measures which kinds of practice say on their websites that they offer GLP-1 medications, in our three launch states. It counts only practices we have discovered and read so far, not every prescriber.

No accounts, no medical intake, no eligibility or dosing guidance, no prescriptions. A ZIP search records the ZIP code and what you said you were looking for, nothing else. Paid placement, if we ever offer it, will be labelled “Sponsored” and kept outside the evidence-ranked lists.
